Short Description of the Study

The Synchronous Reluctance Machines have shown to be serious competitors versus the conventional induction machines. Because, they can obtain relatively high efficiency and power factor, the construction of the rotor is robust due to the absence of permanent magnets, and also the developments in the power electronic inverters have tackled some utilization obstacles. Therefore, the synchronous reluctance motors have attracted many attentions. But there are some lacks in the literature regarding the efficiency, operation and performance of these machines. This study aims to fill this gap and push the knowledge of efficiency calculation of synchronous reluctance machine further. Obtaining a straightforward approach verified by experimental results is promising.
