Short summary of dissertation
The focus of this thesis is to optimize the design of energy networks by using mixed integer nonlinear optimization methods. Thereby we are able to make decisions about the use of different energy sources, energy converters and energy storages, as well as their dimensioning and wiring. Moreover uncertainties with respect to external influences, market prices and consumption needs are also taken into account. The network is based on differential equations and algebraic equations.
